FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Biozet Attack Powder Detergent

What is the correct water temperature to use with Biozet Attack powder?

The optimum temperature to achieve maximum solubility is 20°C. However, all Biozet Attack variants will dissolve effectively in cold to warm water between 5°C to 40°C. (Basically the solubility of the detergent increases proportionally as the water temperature rises.)

Washing in water over 40°C may reduce the effectiveness of the enzymes.

What are Optical Brightening Agents? Does Biozet Attack contain them?
Optical brightening agents or fluorescers (as they are also known) are a form of dye which attaches to fabric and reflects light. This in turn makes clothes appear whiter and brighter. Biozet Attack and Biozet Attack front loader contain optical brighteners, however Biozet Attack with Softener and Biozet Attack front loader with Softener do not contain optical brighteners.
What is Water Hardness?

Most metropolitan areas in Australia have soft to medium water. The most populated hard water areas are around Adelaide and parts of Brisbane. Other areas around Australia can suffer from hard water but this can be very localised, water source dependent and even seasonal.

Signs of hard water are - a ring around the bath tub, soaps & shampoos do not lather easily, white deposits around taps & drains, fabrics feel stiff, not fluffy.

Hard water contains mineral salts as calcium and magnesium that limit the formation of lather with soap.

Soft water contains fewer or no calcium or magnesium metal, therefore In soft water soap lathers quickly and easily and the soap is easy to rinse out of clothes in the laundry.

If a consumer is unsure of water type refer to their local water authority.

A higher dose of powder is required in hard water areas to maintain cleaning performance (this is specified on washing hints on side panel of box).
