Frequently Asked Questions
How concentrated is new BioZet Attack?
BioZet Attack is a super concentrate and the regular and front loader formulas are 20% more concentrated than original BioZet. BioZet Attack Top Loader, and BioZet Attack Front Loader, now use a smaller 40g scoop size (old size 50g).

How many washes do you get per kilo?
1kg Top Loader - 25 washes (scoop size 40g)
1kg Front Loader - 25 washes (scoop size 40g)
1kg Top Loader with Softener - 20 washes (scoop size 50g)

What is the correct water temperature to use with the BioZet Attack range?
The optimum temperature to achieve maximum solubility is 20°C. However, BioZet Attack still dissolves effectively in cold to warm water between 5- 40°C. Washing in water over 40°C may reduce the effectiveness of the enzymes.

Is BioZet Attack a soaker?
No, BioZet Attack, BioZet Attack Front Loader and BioZet Attack with Softener are laundry detergents. However, you can most definitely use them for soaking (see soaking instructions on packs).

I have a woollen jumper I need to wash. Can I use BioZet Attack?
No, we do not recommend you use BioZet Attack to wash wool or any other delicate fabric. It's best to use a wool wash or a product specially formulated for washing delicate clothes.

I need to wash a 100% silk blouse. Can I use BioZet Attack?
No, BioZet Attack is not recommended for silk. Normally these items are dry clean only. If not, it is best to use wool wash or a product specially formulated for washing delicate clothes.

Is it safe to wash newborn baby clothes?
Absolutely. Just remember to always ensure the clothes are rinsed thoroughly.

What are Optical Brightening Agents? Does BioZet Attack contain them?
Yes. Optical brightening agents, or fluorescers, as they are also known, are a form of dye that attach to fabric and reflect light. This makes clothes appear whiter and brighter. Regular BioZet Attack Top Loader and Front Loader do contain optical brightening agents, while BioZet Attack with Softener does not.

What is a hyperactive bioenzyme?
New Biozet Attack formula includes two enzymes.
A) Protease release and remove dirt (the protein such as sweat, grass stain, blood, egg) on the fibre.
B) Cellulase removes ingrained stains within the fibres(cotton) of your clothes.

Are the enzymes that are in the new BioZet Attack formula the same as the enzymes that were in the original BioZet product?
Yes, both Protease and Cellulase are also found in the new BioZet Attack formula.

Is there oxygen bleach in any of the BioZet Attack variants?
No, none of the BioZet Attack variants contain oxygen bleach.

Are BioZet Attack products environmentally aware?
BioZet takes its environmental responsibility seriously and has developed many ways to be gentler on the environment:
  • BioZet Attack has no added phosphorus and is low in sodium.
  • It's grey water suitable because of its low sodium content.
  • BioZet Attack is biodegradable - after washing the surfactant and enzymes will break down and can be absorbed
    back into nature.
  • BioZet Attack packaging and scoop are made from recyclable materials.
How is phosphorus harmful to the environment?
Phosphates from detergent wastewater and other household products contribute to excessive algae growth, which can lead to a breakdown in the aquatic eco system. This is why an eco responsible laundry detergent plays an essential role in a greener, cleaner future.

How is sodium damaging to the environment?
Sodium can be detrimental to plant physiology as it affects osmotic pressure in plant cells and can lead to loss of soil structure.

Is it ok to use grey water from my washing machine on my garden?
All of the BioZet Attack range have no added phosphorus and are low in sodium, so you can use the grey water on your garden. Please be aware that grey water refers to the rinse cycle water not wash cycle water. Due to the varying water restrictions and requirements we recommend you contact your local council and/or state water board about using of grey water. It's recommended you do not use grey water on edible fruits or vegetables.

What is grey water?
Grey Water is waste water which comes from baths, showers and the rinse cycle in the laundry. This water, if captured, diverted, stored or treated appropriately, can be reused in gardens and for other domestic chores such as flushing toilets and washing clothes.

This process of reusing grey water can save huge amounts of water for the average Australian home, whether in the city or the bush. It's possible to save around 400 litres of fresh water each day simply by gardening with grey water¹ - that's equivalent to most of the water you use in the bathroom and laundry on an average day. Our green laundry powder ingredients have made recycling grey water easy. So what are you waiting for? Use environmentally responsible laundry detergent and set up grey water garden, washing and cleaning methods.

Is there a difference between grey water from the wash cycle and rinse cycle?
Yes. Water from the wash cycle is generally quite alkaline, so it's not suitable to use on your garden. It should be discharged into the sewer unless the home has a specially designed grey water treatment unit. But water from the rinse cycle is great for watering the garden; you just need to keep a few considerations in mind.
  • Avoid using grey water on edible fruits or vegetables.
  • Don't use rinse water from heavily soiled washes.
  • Check with your nursery before you use it on your lawn and plants.
  • Test grey water on a small area to make sure your garden likes it.
  • Avoid adding liquid fabric softener if the rinse water is going to be used for watering.
  • Keep away from kids and pets - grey water is not for drinking.
I know every drop counts, but can household water savings really make a difference?
Every household can make a difference, and this difference can be seen in your garden and on your water bill. Sydney Water suggests that approximately 61 per cent of the total wastewater produced by an average household can be used as grey water - making this a great water saving initiative consumers can get involved in. Even if you don't save the lot, every
little bit helps.

Reducing your water usage with recycled grey water is one of the easiest ways to create a more environmentally friendly house. For more information on grey water, click here.
